March 2020 - the start of the pandemic...After I realized that my team and much of the rest of the world were going to do a lot of virtual meetings through video conferencing software like Zoom and Teams, I decided to stop using the audio inputs of the webcam sitting atop my computer screen.
Webcams adequately transmit your video and audio, but they can't replicate your voice in the way that a quality, standalone microphone can.
